How to sew a tulle tutu skirt with satin ribbons (additional information to the master class)

Description of the skirt from MC:

Skirt length - 30 cm.

Size - 110-128 cm, 5-7 years old.

Colors: hot pink; violet; turquoise; yellow; green.

MATERIALS: *

* The total number of materials, recommended for this model of the skirt 30 cm length.

In general, their (materials) number depends on the length and pomp of the skirt, as well as on the number of colors you use.

- Tulle (medium hardness) - 3 running meters (with a roll width of 3 m);

- Satin ribbons 4 cm wide - 32.8 meters;

- Satin ribbon 2.5 cm wide - 1.3 meters;

- Double-sided satin ribbon - 4.5-5 m;

- Elastic band as a base for a skirt, 4 cm wide - 1 piece;

- Regular underwear elastic - about 1 m (length of the stretch band = waist girth - 10 cm);

- Threads (better monofilament).

MATERIALS: **

** The number of materials that I used when sewing exactly the skirt that you see in the MC.

  - Tulle (medium hardness) - 105 strips, 60 cm long and 15 cm wide - 21 strips of 5 colors;

- Satin ribbons (for the bottom of the skirt), 4 cm wide - 6.3 meters in each color - 42 pieces each color, 15 cm long;

- Double-sided satin ribbon (for processing the waist line) - 4.8 m;

 - Satin ribbons (for the bow), 4 and 2.5 cm wide - 1.3 meters in two colors (each color is of different width);

- Elastic band, 4 cm wide. On my elastic band there were 105 holes - 35 vertical rows with 3 holes in each other;

- The usual gum (underwear) - 100 cm - 2 pieces of 50 cm;

- Monofilament.

Attention!

For the skirt I used 21 stripes of tulle of each color. The width of the bands is 15 cm. That is the width in total is 3 m and 15 cm. The standard width of the roll of tulle is mainly 3 meters, so when cutting the tulle into one skirt, it is unprofitable to do so!

In order not to buy more than you need, you can simply cut the tulle into strips of the following width: 15 strips of 14 cm + 6 strips of 15 cm wide. In the finished product, the difference will not be noticeable. And then in the sum on width it will just make 3 m, and you will need to get for a skirt on 2*L running meters of tulle of each color (L - the length of your skirt, in meters). But this is if the width of the roll of tulle you have 3 m! If the roll width is different, or you use a different number of tulle colors, be careful - count the amount of materials so that it is profitable.
